Brass Bars
Brass liners are essential components in artisanal cutlery, mainly used to assemble knife handles. These metal strips, generally 1 to 3 mm thick, play a crucial role both structurally and aesthetically.
Functionally, brass bars ensure the strength and durability of the knife assembly. Placed between the tang (extension of the blade) and the handle scales, they reinforce the structure while absorbing mechanical stress. Brass, an alloy of copper and zinc, is particularly valued for its corrosion resistance and malleability, which makes it easy to work with.
