Nickel silver

Nickel silver (Alpaca) is a silvery-white alloy of copper, nickel, and zinc. Harder than brass, it also resists corrosion better and retains its appearance and shine well over time. It is very well suited to cold working, has low electrical conductivity, good machinability, and good solderability. It is generally harder than silver while being slightly more elastic. It is primarily used for making decorative pieces (cutlery, decorative items, watchmaking instruments, musical instruments, and precision mechanical instruments, etc.).
